The local golf club “Santa Rosa Beach Golf Club” was designed by the infamous Joe Lee. This course is one of Joe’s signature courses challenging one with natural bunkers, sand traps and water holes with the fourth and fifth hole allowing glimpses of the beach. The newest of golf courses along Scenic 30-A is The Camp Creek Golf Club with an 18 hole course designed by Tom Fazio. Just east on Lake Powell at the Panama City Border is Greg Norman’s Sharks Tooth Course at Wild Heron community.
Historical points of Interest of the Santa Rosa Beach area include the historic town of Point Washington where Eden State Gardens incorporates the old Wesley mansion on Tucker Bayou, once a thriving sawmill and the historical Town of Santa Rosa Beach north of Emerald Coast Parkway (Hwy 98). This area is consistently undergoing development with new communities and commercial projects as there are pockets of land available for housing allowing for just a 10 to 15 minute drive to beach access via Scenic 30A Corridor.
